Warehouse & Logistics Manager — Alice Springs
Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage (APAS) is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take full ownership of the warehousing and logistics function at our Alice Springs facility. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be accountable for the performance of the operation and for building, leading and developing the team that runs it.
We're after someone who leads from the front — sets the standard, holds the team to it, and takes responsibility for outcomes rather than simply administering processes.
What you'll own
- Lead, develop and hold accountable the team responsible for day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations.
- Set clear expectations and standards, and manage team performance to meet them.
- Take end-to-end accountability for warehousing activities — inventory control, storage, shipping and receiving.
- Own logistics planning, including routing, transportation and delivery scheduling.
- Drive continuous improvement: track performance metrics, identify what isn't working, and implement the changes to fix it.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers and other stakeholders to keep the supply chain running smoothly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements
About you
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team — not just coordinating tasks, but genuinely owning a function and the people in it.
- A track record of holding others to account and lifting team performance.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in warehousing and logistics management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to make decisions and stand behind them.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Sound working knowledge of warehouse management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Current forklift licence, or the ability to obtain one.
Benefits
What we offer
- Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 + 12% superannuation + overtime, commensurate with experience and skills.
